Layouts not so embarrased.

By stanford - Posted on 04 December 2009

On Chatham and Illinook, the scenery building is in full swing. Adding foliage and other scenic elements to the two layouts is giving the impressing that the a lot is getting done, and I suppose in reality it is. And the various scenic features are beoming less naked (and therefore less embarrased. Can you understand the title now?)

The small hill on Chatham has had foliage added and is starting to look like a real hill. And the stone bunker on Illinook is nearing completion. The creek area on Chatham is also progressing, with some stones from the driveway glued to the back of the creek to simulate a stone enbankment. Foliage has also been added to the area around the creek.

This month marks the first year of the Chatham layout, although it has gone through a name change. See http://www.stanfordhosting.net/jimsjunction/node/77 for more details. It was named MidWest Short Line (MWSL) for a while before it was named Chatham and the location set in Ontario, Canada.

Here are some pics of prgress so far.
