Wiring progress

By stanford - Posted on 26 August 2010

The non-DCC wiring of the CSFT has been progressing well. Over the last few evenings the positive wire to make up the supply circuit pair for the small auxiliary Forest Junction control panel has been laid, and an end of baseboard connector has been added for the end of the East Interchange module, so that when the modules are disconnected for moving the wiring can be simply unplugged and then plugged back in when the modules are joined back together.

The main control panel has also been re-painted, and the switches re-wired where necessary. One of the momentary switches on the main panel broke, so a replacement had to be wired in, and some of the wiring joins had to be covered so they didn't touch other wires.

A basic schematic of the wiring system as it will be once complete is below...

(The common ground wire between the secondary panel and the switches controlled from it is not shown for clarity.)
