Current Motive Power, used or not
Currently there are 17 locomotives all of which are either DCC equipped or dummy locos. The locos are listed as allocated to a particular layout, or as foreign road power. This is a guide only, as loco allocations are somewhat fluid - a particular loco may be used on a layout different to the one indicated for a period of time without this list being updated.
DIRT / ILLX Power (Leased or Owned)
DIRT GE70 Ton Switcher 58

This loco is an ex-Bethlehem Steel Bachmann DCC On-Board model. The plan is to remove the 'Bethlehem Steel' name and add my own railroad's lettering. The number will remain the same. It is a similar yellow to the GE 44, so I will leave it the same color. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GE_70-ton_switcher for more info on the GE 70 Ton switcher.
DIRT GE70 Ton Switcher 59

This loco is a Bachmann DCC On-Board model, painted green with yellow trimming. It is 8 wheel drive, 8 wheel pickup. Like most of my locos it has had the deceleration and acceleration settings on the decoder 'tweaked' so it runs more smoothly. Currently it has no number indicated on it, so I will add a number to it.
ILLX GE44 Tonner 03

This loco is a Bachmann DCC On-Board model, with no road name, and currently no number indicated on it. I will add a number to it eventually. As it is in a generic 'industrial / switching' color scheme I will leave the basic colors as they are but might add the railroad reporting mark to show it belongs on a particular layout. For more info on the GE 44 Tonner, try http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GE_44-ton_switcher or http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_South_Wales_79_class_locomotive.
Foreign Road Power
Chessie GP40 4137

A Chessie System EMD GP40. This is a Bachmann DCC Equipped model. It is 8 wheel drive and 8 wheel pickup. The decoder was factory installed. Since this photo was taken, the loco has been weathered considerably. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GP40 for more info on the GP40 loco type.
Canadian Pacific GP35 8210

A Bachmann DCC Onboard loco, in an older CP color scheme. The color scheme of this loco was still in use in the 1970's and 80's, so I felt it was still a good representation of the era I model. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GP35 for more information on the GP35 loco type.
BN/Frisco SW1500 319

Athearn, SW1500, DCC equipped. This loco will probably stay in Frisco colors. As the BN took over the Frisco in 1980, it represents a BN loco the C&SFT has leased, keeping the Frisco scheme but having some weathering added. This loco has a back-EMF capable decoder, and runs very smoothly even at extremely slow speeds. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SW1500 for more info on the SW1500 loco type.
IHB GP40 [un-numbered, will probably be numbered 3802]

An ex-Santa Fe EMD GP40, painted in the pre-1985 scheme of the Indiana Harbor Belt. Although the IHB never had any GP40's, it did have some GP40-2's, and some GP38-2's, so in my 'plausible universe' a GP40 could have been purchase by the IHB at some point. In any case, a GP40 and a GP40-2 are not very different cosmetically! This is a Bachmann DCC Equipped model. It is 8 wheel drive and 8 wheel pickup. The decoder was factory installed.
CNW GP7 1519

A C&NW GP7. Proto2000. DCC equipped. The prototype of this loco was rebuilt and repainted in 1972, and renumbered as 4312. In my 'plausible universe', this loco was leased to the C&SFT and has not been rebuilt / renumbered untill the late 1980's. Most of the photos of it on this site make it look like it needs a rebuild! See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GP7 for more info on the GP7 loco type.
EJ&E RS-11 252

EJ&E RS unit (RS-11 I think!). Kato/Atlas, from what I have been told. It was made by Kato for Atlas. The paint scheme of this loco is based on the EJ&E color scheme of an SW photographed at Joliet in 1979. This loco runs very smoothly, as KATO locos often do. The EJ&E never had an RS-11 (as far as I know), but it did have an RS2/3 at some stage in it's history. I hard wired a decoder into this loco. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ALCO_RS-11 for more info on the RS-11 loco type.
CRI&P GP9 37

An ex Western Maryland, ex MWSL, now Rock Island GP9. Atlas I think. I have removed the motor and gears from this to make it a dummy unit, and repainted it in Rock Island colors. I might experiment with this loco by installing a miniature camera in the cab, and maybe a sound system. This photo shows it in it's MWSL livery. It is now in the Rock Island Red and Yellow livery. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/EMD_GP9 for more info on the GP9 loco type.
EJ&E SW1200 [un-numbered]

Old Athearn. Was a Southern Pacific unit, but has been repainted in the EJ&E brown color scheme. This unit has had it's motor and gears removed, and is a dummy unit used on some EJ&E trains. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SW1200 for more info on the SW1200 loco type.
EJ&E U33C [un-numbered] [currently unused]

This loco is an ex-UP loco, converted to a dummy, and is used on some EJ&E trains. As far as I know the EJ&E never had a U33C, but my layout is 'representative' of the railroads modelled, rather than a strict following of it. I am hoping to replace this with a powered SD38 in EJ&E colors as money permits.
Western Maryland GP35 3576
This loco is a Bachmann DCC Onboard loco, and represents the Chessie system. I have seen photos of the Chessie System paint scheme and Western Maryland schemes in the same train, so having this loco as representing the Chessie is prototypical. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GP35 for more info on the GP35 loco type.
Norfolk & Western GP20 2009

This loco is an older Proto 2000 model. I removed the motor, excess weight, and worm gears, and made it into a dummy loco. This loco is normally used as pool power for Chessie trains. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gp20 for more info on the GP20 loco type.
ATSF SD40-2 5038

This loco is a Bachmann DCC On-Board model, with the ATSF blue and yellow color scheme. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SD40-2 for more info on the SD40-2 loco type.
MWSL FT-A's 23 and 28

2 x MWSL FT-A locos. One is ex-Georgia Northern #14, the other is ex-EL #6014. These are both Bachmann DCC Equipped models. They are 8 wheel drive and 8 wheel pickup. The decoders was factory installed. These locos have been weathered so that they look really old, and I suspect they would have looked somewhat run down like this in the 1970's / 1980's. In my alternate history, these two locos were purchased by the MWSL in the mid to late 60's, and at some point between their purchase and 1975 they have been re-motored with more up to date engines and other components, bringing their power rating up to 1500hp each. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/EMD_FT for more information on the FT loco type.
MWSL U23B 1788 [currently unused]

Ex-Chessie System, now MWSL. Old Athearn. I have removed the motor and gears from this to make it a dummy unit, and repainted it in MWSL colors. And I have added considerable rust and dust coloring to it. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GE_U23B for more information on the U23B loco type.
