Another Fictional (but plausible) Railroad

The Chatham Industrial RR is a fictional industrial switching district south of the Thames River in Chatham, Ontario, Canada. Motive power is provided by Canadian Pacific and Chessie System locos.

Industries on the layout:

  • Specialty Flours Mill and Storage - Silos, flour mill and a packing house. The largest industry on the layout
  • Col D. Sturage Cool Store and Warehouse - Ships frozen fish, vegetables in 40 foot reefers.
  • Intermodal Transfer Track - For containers and trailers.
  • Rivards Sawmill - A sawmill which ships dresse lumber out by rail, and occasionally receives logs in by rail.
  • Freight house - A small freight house which also serves as the MoW storage shed. Often sees MoW cars awiating next assingment, as well as box cars and gondollas.

There is also a passenger depot which is an Atlas model and is somewhat representative of the actual Chatham depot.
