MWSL become Chatham Industrial RR

By stanford - Posted on 16 August 2009

The MWSL has undergone a name and location change. It was originally designed to be attachable to my CSFT layout, but after much thought I decided I wanted to model another region with the MWSL layout.

So the modelled location has been moved to Chatham, Ontario, Canada in the mid to late 1980's. And the name is now the Chatham Industrial RR. The reasons why I chose Chatham and the 1980's are as follows:

  • I wanted to be able to represent the Canadian Pacific RR.
  • I wanted to be able to represent the Chessie System.
  • The industries would need to be served by both the CP and Chessie.

After some research on railpictures.net , Wikipedia, Google Maps and a few other places I decided on Chatham because it would allow me to run CP equipment as well as Chessie equipment. One of the Chessie locomotives I have on my CSFT layout will be moved over to the Chatham Industrial layout.
